This Is Why Gamerscore Is Useless

Destructoid reports that some slacker out there was crazy enough to actually put a copy of Avatar: The Last Airbender / The Burning Earth into his 360 and play it.
As we can see in the video, the testers were taking the same peyote as the writers who came up with that title. 1000 achievement points in under two minutes. Full instructions, and I quote: “All you do is run to where I run in video and press B for a few minutes and enjoy 1000 points” (uh, sic).
The individual achievements are a cool invention and interesting by themselves. But the overall gamerscore? Meaningless. And I still find it slightly disturbing that there are people who will grind entire titles they otherwise wouldn’t play, just to make the number bigger.
