Netflix: “We’re not going to carry HD DVD discs anymore…”

Best Buy: “HD DVD content will no longer receive marketing…”

Wal*Mart: “We no longer will be carrying HD DVD…”

HD DVD: “I’ll bite your legs off.”

Now the question is – will MS ship an external blu-ray drive for 360, thus completely validating Sony’s strategy once and for all; or will they focus entirely on digital downloads, knowing that the bandwidth, image quality and platform demographics won’t be competitive for several years?

It’s kind of funny how the staunch HD DVD supporters around the net have suddenly decided that DVDs actually do look really good upscaled after all, or that they really hate discs after all, or that they don’t actually watch very many movies after all, or that they actually want 2.3TB holographic discs after all, etc etc.
