Forum Sightings: Trivia Edition
I’ll start with an easy one:
I do NOT care about being “the best” or some shit. I know full well that I won’t be and it’d be stupid to try. But to have some Deus Ex Machina come in and take a giant shit all over me, there’s really no call for that. It serves no purpose at all. Would you find it fun if you were playing a game and I just unplugged your controller? After all, you should be able to adapt to “an ever-changing field of chaos”, right? It’s fun to have someone ruin the game for you while you were enjoying yourself, right? How about a fun game where you just get kicked in the nuts instead?
What game is this irate poster referring to?
Answer here.

Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone defends that piss poor excuse for a game. Just because it’s made by Nintendo and it has Mario in the title and there’s nothing else new on your system of choice doesn’t mean it’s something worth playing that you should defend.
A shit game is a shit game. I may like Lair but I understand that it’s a shit game and I understand why so many people think so. I’m not going to go bash people just because they don’t agree with my disparate world view.
I finally bought a Wii again. Had to have Mario Galaxy eventually. It’s pretty fun so far but I can already see that a lot of the hyperbole surrounding this game is just that. Ah well.
Curious to see what you think of Galaxy, that’s the one that tempts me as well.
I’ve actually been spending the most time with the Wii version of Resident Evil 4. It’s incredibly fugly but it’s still a good game and shooting “zombies” in the head with the Wiimote is fun, even if it doesn’t have the accuracy of a light gun.
Galaxy: Galaxy is absolutely great…. for 3D Mario. 3D Mario can’t compare to his side-scrolling alternate reality Mario. It’s still quite fun, however. It reminded me of the whole “looking better than Ratchet and Clank Future” comments though… because it doesn’t even come close.
It’s good stuff, definitely worth the money.
Why such hate for MKWii? It’s clearly not meant to be taken as a serious racing game, and it’s a lot of fun as long as you don’t take it seriously (which is not to say that I haven’t screamed like a maniac when I get hit by a blue shell just before the finish line).
