The Kid’s Got +5 Heart of Encouragement
I’ll be honest: I didn’t care for the Too Human demo. I wasn’t for or against it per se, but rather, just sort of bored by it. But only sort of. The game isn’t terrible, but it certainly isn’t great, and there’s too much great to choose from these days. Plus the removal of local co-op and 4-player online was a dealbreaker. (I still don’t understand how you can have different classes and no party.)
Anyways, I was amused by this video clip of Kevin Pereira, from G4’s Attack of the Show, on why we should at least give Space Vikings on Ice a second shot before consigning it to the dustbin of history:
He makes his case well. I’ll have to try it again. Maybe in the fall.

I was actually looking forward to playing this with a friend. This “review” really doesn’t help though. I’m waiting for the next Champions of Norrath to fulfill my loot whoring needs on a console, and I don’t think this will be it.
badassness…
I couldn’t get into the combat controls or the skating or the camera. Crap story and presentation just take away any other incentive I could have to play. Maybe I’ll try it again at a later date.
And if he wants to talk ratings at GameSpot… I’d like to hear him talk about the rating for Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction.
That shit still pisses me off.
Legendbyname: I’m hoping the next PixelJunk game will approximate some semblance of Champions of Norrath. I loved that game! Now THAT was an enjoyable lootfest.
Deviation: I hear ya. Let’s see what they give Quest for Booty. I hear the knob that fired Gerstmann is out.
I enjoyed the demo and I’m really enjoying the game.
Actually, I’m also enjoying the story. I’m looking forward to finding out how they spin the whole “Loki helping Hod kill Baldur” thing as the backstory is revealed. Not sure what the space viking equivalent of mistletoe is, but the game does appear (at least so far) to take place after Baldur’s death and rebirth.
Isn’t the next PixelJunk game slated to be a dungeon hack? I think you’re going to get your wish, Nerf.
