So Nerf, where’s a place to read up on Killzone 1 in prep for Killzone 2? Never played the first (although I do have a PS2) but not looking to purchase it ATM as my gaming backlog is ginormous right now. Just hit up the giant thread at NeoGAF (I’m assuming they have one akin to their MGS4 one) and combine it with some Wikipedia stuff?
Nah, I wouldn’t bother with NeoGAF, you’ll have to wade through endless pages of chaff to get interesting details, and might get spoilerized in the process.
What I would recommend is going through the huge “backstory” sections on the official site (their canon fiction is very detailed and quite interesting – why Helghast wear masks, history of oppression, etc) and combine that with YouTube cutscenes from Killzone 1. The PSP game had some interesting stuff as well but nothing really essential.
