What Is The New Ninja Theory Project?

The Heavenly Sword developers have a new website as well as a bunch of (utterly gorgeous) concept art paintings scattered around the various web pages:

Hi-res versions available here.
This looks quite a bit different from HS. For one thing, there are mechanised/pseudo-futuristic buildings, with an almost steampunk quality to them. I would think that Heavenly Sword [...]

Twitching and Snarling

(I’m going to be trying these big compilation posts for awhile, see if it works better. If you’d rather I did the old format, by all means, hurl fruit in the comments section, kthx.)
Ah, but these minor delays do tend to pile up, don’t they. I looked upon that little calendar on the right [...]

MMIIX is Go

Let us take a moment to acknowledge that annual micro-shock of realizing the perfectly futuristic sound of the year 2008 –
(…)
and the dependable string of thought that follows; inevitably you note that there tain’t much too futuristicimal about the actual year 2008 we’re living in. Except for two things:

Fall Dashboard Update Is Overwhelming (Updated)

SEE UPDATE BELOW
Joystiq has a nice little scoop on the changelog details in Microsoft’s “Fall” update to the 360 Dashboard. They translated it from some sort of early Japanese release. If Joystiq’s bothans are accurate, the list of details is very heavy on organizational tweaks and very light on everything else:

The Warhawk update supposedly includes a new vehicle, the dropship, which can pick up and relocate vehicles [...]

Rumour: Dual Shock 3, FW 2.0 at TGS

The big Tokyo Game Show will be on this week; it may as well be the Sony Game Show since Microsoft has already had their press conference way early and Nintendo won’t be attending.
The rumour that’s making the rounds right now is that the long-awaited rumble-capable PS3 controller will make its debut, and will probably [...]

Rumour Xtreme: $400 PS3 by Xmas

Opposable Thumbs is reporting a rumour from their infamous mole, one that is a little hard to swallow – so I’ve included a picture of the world’s largest grain of salt with this post to keep things in perspective. I don’t normally like writing about rumours like this because they are often untrue, but OT’s [...]

Rumour: Wii Zapper Ships With… A Crossbow Game?

The rumour making the rounds right now is that the Wii Zapper peripheral, which houses the Nunchuck and Wii Remote in a semi-awkward semi-automatic gun configuration, is shipping with the decidedly un-gun-like title Link’s Crossbow Training.
Why would they ship a crossbow game with this thing? What happened to Duck Hunt? For once, I wanted a [...]
