Whilst rummaging the GAF I came across this thread (via GamePolitics) about a new law just passed in Venezuela, which bans the sale of “any violent videogame”.
I couldn’t help but be struck by this quote:
Venezuela’s parliament has approved a law that lumps in toy weapons with videogames and bans the import, production or sale of both [...]

GameInformer magazine apparently has a scoop in their print edition on what’s going on with the (strangely imminent) Guitar Hero IV. Guess what? They’ve decided that a whole band of instruments is a great idea!
That means you will see drum and microphone peripherals for GH4, just like Rock Band. And considering Activision’s cockpunchingly-retarded stance on [...]

This is a public service announcement:
The box is a lie.
You may encounter a product that looks like Rock Band for Wii, sometime in June. It is a thoroughly convincing doppleganger. However, do not be fooled: this is not Rock Band, but rather some sort of cruel and unusual hoax, as reported in several sources. This [...]

“We feel the forces [...]

Hot on the heels of the larger-than-expected Xbox 360 Canadian price drop, and number three’s post regarding the pricing of Warhawk on the PlayStation network, I decided to see what the nearly-at-par Canadian-US exchange rate is doing in terms of the “points” the various online services use.
What I found is not amusing. Some words that [...]

A HARROWING TALE OF SYSTEM UPDATES!!
It started innocently enough, like all tragedies do. I sat down, picked up the controller and started up a game of Super Stardust HD. Nothing unusual happened, no portent of the doom that awaited me, no spirits to warn me back from the abyss that lay in front of me. [...]

EDGE Magazine has kicked up a remarkable media frenzy in this Top 100 Games Evarrrrrr article they’re preparing for a special issue.
There I was, innocently surfing away, thoughtfully jawing my traditional strip of beef jerky with occasional sips of cough syrup when this ludicrous sequence of characters and numbers appears before me:
1. The Legend [...]
